It is said that Bipasha was offered to play the role of Abhishek’s wife ‘Mandothari’ in Maniratnam’s much hyped ‘Ravan.’ But later she was dropped out after much of rehearsals, dress fittings and 20 days of allocation. It is rumored that she was dropped because her character was much of a threat to Aishwarya’s and Priyamani’s character. Bipasha is very much upset but she claims that it was an amicable decision between the director and her.
When asked for comment she says, “I am sad but it’s better than having my role chopped or totally edited when lot of effort had gone to work out the role for this guest character.” She also says that initially she was a part of ‘Ravan’ but Mani sir said that he could not do justice to the character as it would conflict with the main story. She said her role was not dropped because it threatens Aishwarya’s character.

Aishwarya was offered an award in the India Today Woman Summit and as she was not able to attend it because of sore throat, Abhishek Bachchan stepped in her shoes and took the award. The organizers of the event wanted Abhishek to take the award on behalf of Aishwarya and it required lot of coaxing to make Abhishek fill up Aishwarya’s space. It is said that she had severe swelling behind her tonsils and she was not able to speak or swallow food. She developed high fever and was taking only fluid diets. Big B posts in his blog that Aishwarya had a restful day and there was slight improvement in her condition. Abhishek came off from his shooting of ‘Crooked’ and took good care of his wife and he even attended the India Today Woman Summit on behalf of her. It is said that she is far better now and she has even gone back to her schedule recently.

After a brief rest towards her sore throat and visit to Bhopal to see Abhishek’s grandmother, Aishwarya is back in action for Vipul Shah’s ‘Action Replay.’ Doctors advised her to take rest for few days but she is back to work early.
Her illness was misinterpreted by ‘Mumbai Mirror’ as ‘stomach tuberculosis’ and the tabloid even mentioned that because of her illness she will not be able to conceive. The news appalled Abhishek and Amitabh and they both criticized the tabloid for its ‘irresponsible journalism.’
Abhishek wrote in his twitter, ‘The article is disgusting and appalling. As a husband and a man I’m shocked that one can talk so irresponsibly about a woman, that too falsely! On a personal note, as a husband I will not stand for such rubbish being written about my wife,’
Aishwarya is not available for comment over this article but she is back in full swing and busy with Endhiran, Ravan, Action replay and Guzaarish.

Vipul Shah is totally upset. No one is responsible but the weather in Manali. He has planned a duet song with Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai for his film ‘Action Replay.’ They have planned the whole song sequence in Manali and they were confident about the weather. But it was surprised to learn that it is snowing in Manali in February! It is said it never happened before. They cancelled the shoot and returned home. They wanted to shoot a song about a couple romancing in winter like Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz in the ‘Karvaten badalte rahe’ in ‘Aap Ki Kasam’ in Manali. Shah is very upset as he has to find alternative dates for the Manali song. But considering how busy Akshay and Aishwarya are, it is going to be a tough time for him to get the dates. He may as well drop the song sequence rather than delay the film release.

The Bollywood beauty queen Aishwarya Rai surprised many by attending an audio release for the Tamil film ‘Rettaichuzhi’ and she also raised many eye brows by speaking in fluent Tamil. The film ‘Rettaichuzhi’ is produced by director Shankar, who is also busy directing the Rajnikanth starrer ‘Endhiran: The Robot’ where Aishwarya plays the lead lady. Draped in white sari, she attended the audio release at Sathyam cinemas and she raised up to welcome the veteran directors of Tamil film industry, K. Balachander and Bharathiraja, who play important roles in the movie ‘Rettaichuzhi.’
It is said that Aishwarya never attends any audio release before. Shankar recalls that she did not attend the audio release of her own earlier film ‘Jeans.’ He also added that when he explained the significance of the movie, she immediately accepted. He says she is a superstar not because of her beauty but because of her commitment to the profession.

The Bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is missing in action throughout 2009. Though she is not seen in silver screen, she is otherwise very busy. Amidst promotional activities for Paa and management responsibilities of ABCL, the home production company of the Big B, she is also involved in a number of other film shootings as well.
Shankar’s ‘Endhiran’ is almost nearing completion and she is also busy with Manirathnam’s ‘Ravan.’ Besides these two movies she also performs in ‘Guzaarish’ starring against Hrithik Roshan and she is back in action in Vipul Shah’s ‘Action Replay.’ Heavy investment is made on her and the total may reach around 300 crores. ‘Endhiran,’ is budgeted for Rs.150 crores and ‘Ravan’ is filmed with a budget of Rs.45 crores. Budget of ‘Guzaarish’ is around Rs.60 crores. Aishwarya is still the most expensive heroine among her contemporaries and the empress is ready to strike this year.

The Mumbai mirror’s news that Aishwarya has stomach tuberculosis and she cannot conceive infuriated the Bachchan family and they demand a formal apology from the publishers. The Mumbai Mirror and the Filmfare belong to the same Times Group. Aishwarya Rai who has planned to perform in the event has decided to pull out. It is said that the Bachchans have sent a legal notice to the editor of Mumbai Mirror, requesting a retraction from the statement and a formal apology. It is said that the publishers of Mumbai Mirror apologized to Amitabh privately but big B is firm in his stand that a public apology should be made.
The Bachchans are supported in their stand by director R. Balakrishnan, who helmed the big B and Abhishek starred ‘Paa.’ He decided to stay away from Filmfare and big B is also supported by the director of ‘Paa,’ Balki. For information, ‘Paa’ was nominated for Filmfare awards in five categories.

It has been recently rumored that the dream girl of Bollywood, Aishwarya Bachchan has ‘stomach tuberculosis.’ No body knows who is spreading the news, but it is discussed over the net that her physical condition is the reason why she is not pregnant.

We did some research on ‘stomach tuberculosis’ and found that it is a very rare medical condition, while intestinal tuberculosis is quite common. The interesting news is that both have no hindrance to pregnancy including the medications for their treatment. If she has tuberculosis of the uterus and associated organs that could possibly affect her chances of pregnancy.

The passengers of Jet Airways, Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal were blessed to have a glimpse of the star duo when they went back to their family’s home town (in Bhopal) to visit Jaya Bachchan’s mother. Jaya’s mother is around 80 years of age and she is celebrating her birthday. That gave all the reason for the star couple to snatch a day off from their busy schedule and make a visit to Bhopal creating raised eyebrows and wide smiles all along. They were there to take the blessings of the octogenarian Indra Bhaduri. Sources say that she is very fond of Aishwarya. They reached Bhopal in the middle of the night. They visited their relatives there among whom the yesteryear’s popular Rita Bhaduri was one to mention.
We all know that Aishwarya was suffering from severe flu. But she is better now and looks like she couldn’t miss the family union and subsequent celebrations.

While the whole India is suffering from Aishwarya fever (passion), the damsel is suffers from an unidentified flu. While returning home from Vipul Shah’s ‘Action replay’ shooting, she caught some unidentified flu which created enough distress to the lady’s throat. She was not able to swallow food or water and she was not able to speak itself. Physicians were consulted and antibiotics were started and she feels better now. She takes some food now and speaks a little. Amitabh Bachchan while writing in his blog bigb.bigadda.com, that the entire family was very much concerned about ‘pari’ (that’s how Aishwarya is called at home).
Abhishek took leave from his shoot ‘Crooked’ and came home to attend her. Jaya Bachchan too was taking care of her. Owing to the care and antibiotics she now feels better.
Abhishek in his microblogging site says that all the credit of her convalescence goes not only to the medications but also to the countless wishes by her fans and co-actors. Though she feels better, the doctors advised her to take bed rest for a few days.
